October 8, 1866. To E. B. Turner, Esq. U. S. Attorney, Austin, Texas. Sir: I am directed by the Attorney General to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 22d ult. relative to proceedings for confiscation in your District—and to say in reply that, at present, this office has no instructions to give you on the subject.
