October 17, 1866. To C. G. Mauro, Esq. U. S. Att'y. St. Louis, Mo. Sir: I am directed by the Attorney General to say in reply to your letter of the 13th inst. relative to the "Conspiracy Cases," that you are hereby instructed & authorized, (subject to your own discretion,) to dismiss them all.
