January 29, 1867. Bennett Pike, Esq. U. S. Attorney, St. Joseph, Mo. Sir: You are hereby instructed to enter a nolle prosequi on the indictment now pending in the U. S. Dist. Court for your Dist. against A. N. Schuster, Dep. Collector of Internal Revenue for the Sixth Collection Dist. of Missouri; & to report your action to this office.
