October 13, 1869.

Messrs. Anthon & Leeds,

Counsellors at Law,

No. 293 Broadway, New York.

Gentlemen:

Your communications to the President of the 14th of July, and of the 4th of October, 1869, were referred by him to this Department. I do not find that any action on his part is required. If you have any just ground of complaint, there is an ample remedy at law.

Very respectfully,

E. R. Hoar,

Attorney General.

official action declined.
