June 17, 1870. Hon. James Brooks, House of Representatives. Sir: In reply to your letter of the 15th inst. I am directed to say that the daughter of the late Attorney General Crittenden referred to has already made application to this Office for a copy of the opinions of her father and has been informed that we were not in possession of a spare copy.
