George Andrews, Esq.

Knoxville, Tennessee.

Sir:

You are hereby retained for the next four months, at a compensation at the rate of Fifteen hundred dollars a year as assistant to the U. S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee.

You will take the oath prescribed by law, and transmit a copy to this office.
