Nov. 13, 1871.

C. K. Davis, U. S. Attorney,

St. Paul's, Minn.

Sir:

It is rumored that O'Neil and others, lately prosecuted in your District for violation of the Neutrality Laws, have been released by the Commissioner. Will you report the facts, and the ground of discharge, if they have been discharged?

Very respectfully,

A. T. Akerman,

Attorney General.

O'Neil.
Minn.
