Nov. 25, 1871, John Pratt, Esq. U.S. Marshal, Santa Fé, New Mex. Sir: The enclosed letter was written and sent on the 9th instant. By some mistake in this office, it was sent to the Marshal of Utah. It is now sent to you. Very respectfully, A. T. Akerman, Attorney General.
