Nashville, Tenn.

Sir:

The President having revoked his order of the 14th ultimo suspending R. McP. Smith, Esq. from the office of Attorney of the United States for the Middle District of Tennessee, he directs me to inform you that Mr. Smith is therefore reinstated in said office.
