Assistant Attorney General's Office,

Court of Claims.

Sir:

I enclose herewith certain original papers relative to the case of Mervin N. Jones, which were sent to this Department by the Secretary of War in a letter bearing date the 16th inst. When you shall have done with these papers, I desire that you will transmit them to this Department, in order that they may be returned to the Secretary of War.
