Secretary of State.

Sir:

I am directed by the President to request you to issue a Commission appointing Edward B. Johnson to the office of Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of New Mexico; and Joseph W. Fisher to the office of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Wyoming, agreeably to the enclosed resolution of the Senate.
