Both Eakins and Murray (Eakin's student and associate) took photos of Whitman during 1891, and distinguishing them is difficult. Whitman is in the same chair wearing the same clothes and tapestry cape as in the previous photos. The photo was taken in the first-floor parlor of Whitman's home. |
