Not in at W.'s. On the 15th was at Logan—on the 16th detained for settlement at the Bank up to too late an hour to stop in. But learn W. has spent several bad days. Did not go to Harned's on Sunday, though H[arned] stopped in to see W. Notice of [Edwin] Arnold's visit to him 3 of our papers Sunday—Press, Times and Record—perhaps others—these all I saw. Had to confer with Clifford Sunday about his changes in the book.
