JAMES R. OSGOOD & CO., Publishers.
211 TREMONT STREET.
Boston,
June 3 1881

Dear W Whitman

Yours of 1st recd. We accept your terms, viz. 25 cents per copy on all sold if the price is $2.00, and 30 cents if $2.50.

We shall not wish to publish until Autumn, but should like to receive the copy whenever you are ready, so that the work of making the plates will be going on during the Summer.

Please write to me in care of Trübner & Co. 57 Ludgate Hill, London, giving any suggestions about the publication in England.

I shall need for that purpose especially to know how far this edition differs from previous ones, and particularly how much new matter it contains.

When the copy is ready send it directly to the firm.

Yours truly
JR Osgood
Walt Whitman Esq
