 loc.03483.001.jpg Rev A P Putnam Brooklyn | books sent by Express | April 26 | & rec'd Dear Sir—

Enclosed please find a Postal Order for $10 which I believe is the price of your two volumes, embracing your entire published works up to date. I find that books come less battered at the ends—when sent by Express. If it is all the same to you, therefore, will you please send them, well-protected in that way, writing your autograph on the fly leaf of each?

Yours very truly A. P. Putnam

Full address as follows: Rev. A. P. Putnam 263 Hicks st. Brooklyn, N.Y.
