The correspondent may be the George Wagner (1873–1954) who was born in 1873 in Minnesota. He was the son of Carl Wagner (1830–1911)—a dealer in furniture—and Ernestine Fenske Wagner (1839–1915); the family lived in New Ulm, Minnesota.
