Sunday, March 2, 1890

W. at home all day. Kept busy at his papers, "writing some and dozing more." He complains of "the great alike-ness of these days indoors." I question him from time to time again about the hospital proposition, but he will give me no encouragement. Must now write to Bucke on the matter. His question put to me some time ago—how does W. take my question?—not answered because I have wished to say something conclusive. For the present I consider B. answered negatively. Shall so write.
