December 11, 1868. Hon. J. P. Kidder, Asso. Justice, Supreme Court, Vermillion, Dakota T. Sir: Your letter of the 5th ult. was received at this office yesterday. In view of the circumstances stated, the Attorney General directs me to say that you are hereby granted the leave of absence requested, namely, thirty days from the 24th of October last.
