Feb. 18, 1869. Hon. Wm. H. Seward. Secretary of State. Sir: I am directed by the President to request you to issue a Commission appointing James H. Huckleberry to be Attorney of the U. S. for the Western Dist. of Arkansas, agreeably to the enclosed Resolution of the Senate. Respectfully, &c. &c. Wm. M. Evarts, Attorney Gen'l.
