Sir:
By direction of the Attorney General, I transmit herewith an order of the President suspending Isaac N. Quimby from the office of U. S. Marshal for the Northern Dist. of New York and designating Isaac F. Quimby to perform the duties of such suspended officer until the end of the next session of the Senate—with the request that you will deliver it to Mr. I. F. Quimby, when he shall have taken the oath and given the bond required by law.
