April 4, 1871. Wm. Dorsheimer, Esq. late U. S. Attorney, Buffalo, N. Y. Sir: Your letter of the 3d instant has been received. In accordance with your recommendation, and that of the present District Attorney, I have increased the salary of the first Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Sicard, to twenty five hundred dollars per annum. Very respectfully, A. T. Akerman, Attorney General.
