☞ A friend suggests to us that there are far too few workmen employed on the ponds, on the line and on the reservoir of the Water Works. He says that labor is cheap now, the city bonds sell well, and unless matters are driven ahead faster, we shall not, in his opinion, have the water here for a year or two. What say the Commissioners?
