SEWERAGE—

We have in our office a map of the first Eastern District Sewerage plan, extending over the greater part of the 13th and 19th Wards. It is open for public inspection. Our attention has been called to the abrupt discontinuance of the pipes in Fifth street, at South 2d, and in Grand street at Fourth—leaving the blocks in Grand, South 1st, South 2d, and also North 1st and North 2d, below Fifth, with no sewers. We are unable to imagine any reason why so populous a section, and which would naturally appear to belong to the sewerage district, was omitted from it, but some engineering reason, of grade or otherwise, may exist, of which we have no knowledge.
