THE SMALL POX.—

There are undoubtedly an unusual number of well-defined cases of small-pox in our midst, but not near so many as rumor would have it. In one house, we were assured that a child was ill of this loathsome disease, but on enquiry we found it to be a case of congestion of the lungs, and we doubt not there are other equally erroneous impressions extant in regard to its whereabouts. Those who have never been vaccinated should not delay taking this precautionary step for a moment, and those who have been vaccinated will do well to have the operation repeated.
