Physical Education.

It has long been the custom to speak of this district as far behind the age in many respects, (and, we are sorry to confess it, with a great deal of truth, too,) and in nothing has she been more laggard in adopting (outside of our German friends) than the science of physical education. But we are glad to find that the young men of Williamsburgh are taking a lively interest in this (what ought to be) important branch of education, and as physical is as important as mental exercise, we do not despair of the day arriving when every young man will be a thorough and accomplished equestrian, which with the immense facilities afforded by Snyder's Livery Stables, corner of South 8th and 3d streets, can soon accomplished.
