Our report of the Inauguration Dinner of the College Hospital is another welcome proof of the progress of Brooklyn in establishing her own “peculiar institutions”—and some of the very noblest ones.
We confess, however, to a little wincing when we think that nearly all these organizations have their origin and locale in the Western District—of late, indeed, in Atlantic street—removed as far as possible from our own particular section.
Cannot the people of this district do some thing to show that they too are a live and intellectual part of this great city?
