AFTERNOON NEWS, BY TELEGRAPH.

Readers of the TIMES must not forget to look, for late and sometimes highly important News, by Telegraph, on the third page of our paper—under the “Postscript” head. We have secured the best advantages possible to be obtained, for this sort of intelligence—and keep our paper back to the latest moment for it.

During the last three days we have therefore been enabled to present, in the afternoon, the main telegraphic news that appeared in the New York papers of the succeeding morning—thus, of course, giving our readers half a day’s start, which is considerable in these hurried times.
