A SUNDAY PRIZE FIGHT.—

A prize fight occurred yesterday afternoon,1 in a field back of Hudson City, some two or three miles from the Hoboken ferry, between a couple of bruisers, named Tom Hubbard, a New York boatman, and Sitterly, alias “Schenectady Boy,” a gentleman that resides in Williamsburgh and “does nothing” for a living. The latter has considerable reputation as a rough-and-tumble bruiser, but has never before been pitted. The parties fought 18 rounds, it is said, in “handsome style,” when Schenectady Boy was declared winner. Hubbard was badly punished about the face and eyes, and will not be presentable in society for some time to come. Schenectady Boy escaped face marks, but received some heavy blows on the neck and body.
