HARPER’S MAGAZINE1 for September is out. It is one of the best numbers ever published. It opens with a capital satirical poem, “The Finishing School,” in the style of Butler’s “Nothing to Wear” and contains, beside, an unusual quantity of light, summer reading suitable to the season. The illustrations, comic and serio-comic are rich, rare and racy.
