Lippincott's
Magazine
as "To the Sunset Breeze," in December 1890. It later appeared in
Good-Bye My Fancy
(1891) and, as part of the "Good-Bye my Fancy" annex, in the so-called deathbed edition of
Leaves of Grass
(1891–92).
