This is a poem draft, the last three lines of which were later revised and
published in
Drum-Taps
(1865) as "World Take Good
Notice" and included in subsequent editions of
Leaves of Grass.
On the verso of this draft is a prose fragment discussing
slavery and Southern
aristocracy.
