Associate Justice of Washington Territory:

Sir:

Your application of July 31st for leave of absence from your Territory, has been received and considered. It appearing that the cause shown therefor is a good one, the application is granted,—and you are at liberty to be absent for a period of six months from the 1st of July, 1865.

Please report the date of your arrival in your Territory.
