Sir:
I am directed by the President to request that you cause Commissions to be issued to the persons, and for the offices hereafter respectively named, viz: George W. Brooks, to be Judge of the U. S. District Court, for the District of North Carolina, Darius H. Starbuck to be Attorney of the United States, for the District of North Carolina—And—Daniel R. Goodloe to be Marshal of the United States for the District of North Carolina.
