A. G. Stevens, Esq.

U. S. Deputy Marshal,

Buffalo, N. Y.

Sir:

I have your letter of the 7th of April, 1866, in regard to the suit against you by Mrs. Dibble for the property you occupy in the city of Buffalo. I understand from your letter that the proceeding is against the Postmaster, Custom House Officer, & Marshal.

You will call upon the District Attorney, & pursue his advice in the matter
