Secretary of the Interior.

Sir:

By direction of the Attorney General I transmit herewith the acc't by him approved, & amounting to six hundred & twenty five dollars, ($625.00) of Charles O. Tappan, Esq. for legal services as ass't of Wm. A. Dart, Esq. U. S. Attorney for the Northern Dist. of New York, from April 1st to June 30th, 1866, inclusive, & request its payment out of the appropriate fund.
