Sir:
By direction of the Attorney General, I have the honor to transmit herewith the account, approved by him, & amounting to Six hundred & twenty five dollars ($625.00) of Charles O. Tappan, as assistant to Wm. A. Dart, Esq. U. S. Attorney, Northern Dist. New York, for the quarter ending Sept. 30, 1866—& to request its payment out of the appropriate fund.
