Secretary of the Interior.

Sir:

I am directed by the Attorney General to transmit you herewith the account, approved by him, and amounting to Three hundred dollars, ($300.00) of T. Hennessey, for services as assistant to Hon. L. H. Chandler, U. S. Attorney for the Dist. of Virginia, from July 1, 1866, to October 1, 1866,—& to request its payment out of the appropriate fund.
