Hon. H. McCulloch,

Secretary of the Treasury.

Sir:

In reply to your letter of the 17th inst. requesting that the U. S. Attorney for the Southern Dist. of Georgia be instructed to discontinue the proceedings against certain iron claimed to belong to the Brunswick & Albany RR. Co. I have the honor to inclose you a copy of the instructions accordingly issued.
