Sir:

I have the honor to enclose herewith a copy of a letter requesting me to sanction a motion to the Supreme Court for the early argument of certain private causes in which your Department may have an interest.

I will be happy to receive any suggestions you may desire to offer on the subject:matter of the enclosed communication.
