Sir:
By direction of the Attorney Gen'l. I have the honor to return you herewith the papers enclosed by you to this office in your letter of the 18th inst. relative to the case of A. N. Schuster, Dep. Collector of Internal Revenue for the Sixth District of Missouri; and to say that in accordance with your recommendation, the U. S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri has been instructed to dismiss the indictment.
