Secretary of State.

Sir:

I am directed by the President to request you to issue a Commission to John W. Boyle, to be Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Territory of Dakota.

Also to Benjamin F. Tracy to be Attorney of the United States for the Eastern District of New York, in accordance with the enclosed Resolutions of the Senate.
