June 6, 1867. Maj-Gen. L. Thomas, Adj. Gen. U. S.A. General, I have the honor to request, for the use of the Attorney General, copies of all the general orders which have been issued by the respective commanding Generals of the several military Districts of the Southern States. If desirable, the copies will be hereafter returned. Respectfully, Your ob'dt serv't, J. M. Binckley, Asst. Att'y. Gen'l.
