Sir:
In response to your inquiry of the 24th inst. with which you enclosed a copy of a capias which has been served upon the Honorable E. H. Durell, U. S. District Judge for Louisiana, requiring him to answer, in the Circuit Court of the United States for your District, for acts alleged to have been done by the defendant in his official character injurious to the plaintiff. I have to instruct you to appear and defend the former in the premises.
