Sir:
By direction of the Attorney General, you are informed of the receipt of the Record in the case of the United States, by indictment, vs. Julius F. Hartwell, with your favor of the 11th inst., and that it has been duly filed in the Supreme Court. Your proposed brief will be acceptable, and should your further coőperation be deemed requisite, you will be further advised. Your suggestion for advancing the case on the docket will receive due attention, and if found to be expedient, will be adopted at the proper time.
