In reply to the inquiry made in the letter of C. Fernald Esq. which, at your request, is herewith returned, the Attorney General directs me to say that the case of the U. S. vs. M. A.R. De Poli,, is No. 4 on the Docket for the next Term of the Supreme Court, and will probably be reached early in the term. I enclose the Brief of the United States.
