Sir:

The accompanying paper contains a list of State Bonds and other securities, of whose value, information is desired by this office. If such information is at your command, and can be supplied without inconvenience to yourself, you are requested to note on the margin of this list, opposite each of the securities described, the current market value thereof, and return the same to this office. In so doing, you will greatly oblige.
