Plattsburgh, New York.

Sir:

The Attorney General directs me to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 28th instant, and to say, in reply, that your account for services in the defence of soldiers indicted for murder at Plattsburgh, New York, was received, December 16th, 1867, through Mr. Dorsheimer, and was approved and transmitted the same day to the Secretary of War.— Your letter of the 28th instant has also been referred to the War Department
