B. F. Penniman, Esq.
New York City.
Sir:
I herewith enclose a copy of our letter of this date to the District Attorney at Boston, in the matter of young Murray. The defendant was probably guilty, but there seems to have been a failure of available evidence, partly in consequence of the pressure of your own private interests.
Respectfully,
your obedient serv't,
John M. Binckley,
Assistant Attorney Gen'l.
