Sir:

I herewith enclose a copy of a letter just received from the Auditor of the Treasury for the Post Office Department, relative to the mandates in Post Office cases United States vs. Stewart, and United States vs. Le Baron, decided at Last term. It is presumed that the mandates in question have already been issued and transmitted to the clerk of the Court below, in regular course. Should the fact be otherwise, I would thank you for information of it.
