Sir:

I have the honor to transmit herewith the account, approved by me, and amounting to Three Hundred and seventy-five dollars, of Manetho Hilton, for legal services, as assistant to John W. Noble Esq. United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri—from December 1st, 1867 to March 1st, 1868,—and to request its payment from the appropriate fund.
